I think the order goes - shipper is notified package is ready for pickup, then an origin scan at the warehouse, then the tracking fun begins. The tracking number is assigned as soon as Gamestop notifies UPS they have all these packages, then they are scanned when they are put on the truck. The tracking number won't work until that info is relayed back, which could be as late as tomorrow morning or afternoon.
