Short tutorial on how to transfer the files w/transfer kit (360)

I created a long file that explains in much more detail how to do this on FK's site but thought maybe some of you may need the basic info here. This assumes certain things like you know how to copy a file on your 360. Good luck!

In the Xchange 360 software click on OPTIONS

See the folder that is there?

That is the folder you need to move the roster file over to.

Once you do that - you will then click on HARD DRIVE tab and you should see on the right some words like FKROSTER2008 or whatever the file is called.

    Click on that

Make sure your memory card is inserted.

Click on TO MEM and wait for the file to copy over.

When done take the memory card to your 360 and turn it on. Don't go into NCAA 2008 quite yet.

Copy the file from your 360 memory card over to your 360 hard disk.

    Start up NCAA 2008.

Go into rosters area and load them up.

Make any changes you would like to make (if any).

Save the file under NEW option and name it something like your name.

Once you've assured you've got the new file there saved ok then delete FKRosters file.

    That's it.

EDIT - see post #47 in this thread for the FULL tutorial please

You cant copy or move a roster file onto your hard drive from the memory card unless you are signed in under the profile name of the person that created the file.

Hopefully the tutorial is a sign that the rosters are coming! The wait is killing me along with everyone else I am sure.

FK I have been using your rosters for years and the group waiting keeps getting larger and larger.

One question: If I have a 64 MB memory card and the Datel Transfer Kit, is that all I need, correct?

I talked to FK at 5pm and he said he had 3 teams to go so it'd be an hour, then he just had to have the issue with the profile lock removed, so he said 2 to 3 hours, meaning they'd be ready about 8pm or so (est)

I had someone email me they had the file and needed help so I assumed that they were talking about 2008. So it's not out yet? Sorry i'm out of the loop, just got in.

Yea i just downloaded Dt rosters until FK gets his done. And you have to download a Profile with the rosters on it. Sign in to the the Profile START the game. The profile and rosters will come up. To get them to your profile you have to Sign out. Sign in to your Profile and Save roster. Then i erased the other profile. So its not the same as last year

Its the new Microsoft rules on transfering data. Those xbox live updates have changed the system.

In order for FK rosters to work the first time, you have to have a copy of the profile that FK used to create the roster.

Once you load the rosters while in NCAA Football 08 (Under the FK profile or whatever) you can then sign out and sign back in as your normal profile.

THEN you can save the roster as a new file under YOUR profile name.

I would like to know since DT is doing that workaround where you have to use a non-Xbox Live profile, how you could use those online, if you can or not, anyone know?

It sounds as the same thing we had to do with March Madness.

I always loaded the rosters from the memory card and then started a Dynasty. Once I save the Dynasty, the rosters names are maintained within the dynasty save.

Has there been a change since '07 was released?

If FK can get microsoft to remove the profile lock, then you dont need his profile to copy the rosters on to your harddrive.

I hope he can get that done. If not, we will need his profile that he used.

You are missing a few details. Earlier when I tried out the demo rosters from psxsports.com, there was some messing around with profiles. If you don't do it this way, it will not let you copy the file nor let your current profile load it. Here is what I got from the IGN Boards from Yoda-JM:

                              1. Xbox 360 Dashboard - Login to Player1 gamer profile
                              2. Start NCAA
                              3. It will ask for a fave team and save a profile for Player1
                              4. Make sure the named rosters are loaded ok
                              5. Hit the guide button, logout of Player1 and login to your gamer profile
                              6. Go to File management in NCAA and Save a new roster with a different name

It should now work on your profile.
                              This method worked for me.
Xbox 360 Gamer Card (requires Windows Live™ ID)
My Gaming Homepage (Blog, Games, Stats, etc.)
