I agree with your point in regard to the cheat cards, but would you also consider additional historic teams & stadiums to be "useless"? Since you would have to play Madden to use them, I'm guessing the answer is yes

But I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of Madden fans who really like that element of the Madden card system.
