I just saw that ESPN for XBox is like #170 something over at Amazon.com on their sales ranking. ESPN on PS2 is something like #425. Considering that a couple of weeks ago, these 2 were down around #4000 (if my memory serves) on the sales rankings, these newest numbers look pretty good.

Madden for PS2, meanwhile, is #1 on Amazon's sales ranking. With the midnight parties at EB and a number one ranking on Amazon 3 weeks before it comes out, I can only wonder how many millions will be sold this year. It's about time that some of the mainstream media like MTV started picking up on just how big the sports segment of the videogame market really is. If a music cd sells 10 million copies, at $17 a pop, it's a HUGE seller. Just think of what it must be like to sell 10 million copies of Madden at $50 a pop. That's some serious dough.
