Sold separately, altogether disappointing

It appears that Sony has decided that (at least in Japan), the PlayStation 3 won't come with a hard drive; any such forthcomng device will have to be purchased as an add-on. As for the promise of such a concept - well, don't ask anyone who bought...{br}{br}View the Entire Article{br}

Excellent article and great points. It just doesn't seem like smart business on Sony's end. I realize that we can purchase an extra hard drive, but if the prices are comparable and I don't have to buy a hard drive it is a no-brainer. Like you said, games will have to be ported from the Xbox due to its capabilities. Great points.

I highly doubt the prices will even be comprable. The latest internet rumors (take them for what they are worth) are Xbox360 $299, and PS3 $399. Sony is allowing their arrogance to lead them down a very slippery slope. Kutaragi called the 360 the "Xbox 1.5".....yet Sony can't even get a HDD in their system right out of the box. Enjoy your Blue-Ray DVD's though.

Great stuff Shawn.

Xbox 360 was a no brainer for me. SPorts games, FPS, online and a hardrive, while PS3 was up in the air, in the end Ill probably get both, but im not going to rush out for a PS3. As for the Xbox 360, I cant wait!

I was planning on getting both but considering just Xbox 360, at least at first
