One the 360, it's better than Winning Eleven (the 2007 version).

I'm not sure if the 08 version of Winning Eleven will be that much better than it's predecessor to match FIFA on the 360.

You should definitely get it, it's a blast.

Let me just add my two cents to this discussion. I've been a Winning Eleven loyalist for the past couple of years and decided to give FIFA 08 a try (PS3).
Boy was I surprised by how good the game is. As mentioned before, there's a steep learning curve in this game, however, the gameplay and pace of the game is really good and it makes you feel more like you are actually playing a real game of football or should I say soccer.

I recommend anyone holding out on this game to give it a shot. I'm thankful I'm more open minded that some of the others on this board who will simply refuse to acknowledge FIFA 08 based on previous experiences. This year, FIFA is the game to play. In addition, with all the real licenses and improving gameplay, what's there to hate about this game? NOTHING.

This will only make Konami to get off their royal throne and start improving the winning eleven series which has been stagnant the last couple of years.
