I'm from the Philly area. You didn't need to preorder 07. You didn't need to preorder 08; however, last year, when I went to my EB, they were sold out of 09. I went to my local Target, they were sold out of 09. I would highly recommend preordering 10 at this point, no matter where you are.

It speaks volumes to the success of the series.

Well here in Cali I have never had to preorder a game. EVER! I just go there and pick it up. Madden, NHL, MLB the Show. I guess I have been spoiled. Now I rarely get it early, so that sucks. But on the date it is suppose to come out and can get it anywhere.

NHL 09 was the greatest sports game EVER, so I have high hopes for NHL 10!

Safest bet? Gamestop/EB Games or Bestbuy. Both tend to always have releases day 1. Walmart, at least in my area tends to be hit or miss.

Liked alot in that video, goalie animations, the crowds, the board play is looking pretty good, I do hope in the future we can get multipul board scrums but whats there now is a good start. The fighting looks like it could be pretty decent as well, and really anything is a step up over how fighting has been the last couple years. For me I'm still iffy on puck physics, as it was hard to tell if the're all that different, it was nice seeing not only a bank pass off the boards but that nice little drop pass as well.

What really excited me though was the little things and attention to detail, players knocking the puck down to play it imo is huge, defensemen using the bat puck feature to clear the crease also huge and the post whistle scrums actually playing into the game if implmented well should be huge as well. This very well may be the year that the game actually feels like hockey and less of an end to end game with all these elements put together.

Hopefully the AI is improved to the point of being able to pressure in the neutral zone and at their own defensive blue line. If thats the case I'll be in heaven. Even so, I'm looking forward to 10 prolly more so than any game before.

Every year I say: When the EA show something really new? When you feel really gamepad of hockey? This year it looks like the real 200 major things that the game is moved to the actual simulation. So far it feel great now !
