2K Sports Has Already Approached NFL About NFL 2K13 Licensing Deal

Not likely as 2k basketball has never come close to Madden in sales.

A couple things work in 2ks Favor here:
- The recent American Needle ruling. The NFL may relax there exclusive deals as a result.
- NBA 2k Owns the NBA Market
- 2K Could argue that less titles means they could devote more man power towards the NFL game.

If the NFL goes with Exclusivity again, it stays with EA. But I do not think that it is totally out of the question that 2K would be allowed to make a game, Madden sales have dipped so what does the NFL have to lose? I actually have a pretty good feeling about this, I think 2K will make a NFL game soon ...

The fact that the NFL is agreeing to meet with 2k is an encouraging sign. I doubt seriously that the NFL will cut its ties with the Madden franchise, so if they grant a license to 2k, it's more likely to be in addition to EA instead of in lieu of.

2k is hungry. EA is fat, happy, and content.

2k's not afraid to appeal to the sim player. EA's made no secret of appealing to the casual audience.

Will be interesting.

Videogame football is still so far away from where it should be right now

Lets pray that happens, the NFL got too see the potential of 2k sports in making a video game for them. I know its been some years for 2k football, but madden hasnt been exactly a good representation of the sport. If 2k can show them the quality of the NBA series and what they want too implement, the NFL should at least have EA and 2k involved. I dont want anyone with the exclusive license, so let the better company make the better product and let the customers decide.

Im not a basketball fan but I will buy nba 2k11 not just to support 2k but because from everything Ive seen and heard its just a quality sports game with complete modes, great animations, and great gameplay, and I can enjoy that on any sports title.
