Brunswick Pro Bowling Review (PS3)

Bowling has been a staple of motion-controlled mini-games since its inception on the Wii in Wii Sports. And it’s sort of easy to see why: It’s a familiar game that lends itself to intuitive motion controls. In other words, just about anyone, including your grandfather, should be able to pick up a controller and virtually bowl.

I say should, because Brunswick Pro Bowling is far from intuitive. The controls are inconsistent and frustrating, removing any enjoyment from a sport that has been the backbone of the genre.

Re: Brunswick Pro Bowling Review (PS3)

I've been looking for a bowling game for the Move and anything I've seen on YouTube has left me somewhat underwhelmed, especially what they want for these titles. I didn't recall seeing one shot where the pins looked like they had any "kick" to them.

Re: Brunswick Pro Bowling Review (PS3)

I think 4 is a little harsh. I enjoy the game for what it is. It's the only bowling game that I can get to throw my curve like I do in real life. I am an avid bowler and really enjoy it. If you are not a hardcore bowler I could see how it would get such a low score. It has very little bells and whistles.

utexas, I tried this after you responded to me in the Move thread. I'm sorry, but this bowling game is just terrible and the atmosphere is just dry, worse than watching paint dry. LOL! The ball moves a 5 mph, and there is no excitement. For me, the atmosphere was lacking big time which hurt the game. Then add the speed of the ball.

I think the PSN HVB is much better after trying both. If you have Kinect Dre, your better off going with Kinect Sports man for the bowling than either of these two choices.
