MLB 11: The Show Challenge of the Week (4/04 - 4/11)

It has been rather enjoyable checking out what the new challenge is each Monday. So how about we really start keeping track of how folks at OS are doing in these challenges each week?

Post your high score here for this week's challenge. At the start of each week, there will be a post detailing who had the highest score amongst OS folks, and then we'll start the cycle all over.

There's not really a prize on the line here or anything, it's just a little extra something to keep folks involved throughout a long (but sure to be amazing) baseball season.

My own personal high score for this week was: 569,626 -- 23 hits, highest momentum was 36, but I hit zero home runs.

(PS, ranked 13th in the worldddddd right now for this week. It's certainly nice getting the jump on everyone.)

They need some challenges as pitchers. I keep seeing the same names at the top of the leaderboards.

Re: MLB 11: The Show Challenge of the Week (4/04 - 4/11)

Are all of the Challenge Of The Week releases going to be like they've been so far, 1 batter versus 1 pitcher with no fielders or baserunners or anything?

Are they going to move on to incorporate actual game scenarios, anyone know?

Maybe it's just me, but I thought that's where they were going with the COTW feature. Like having to recreate something that was done in a recent real-life game (like pulling off a 9th inning comeback, or batting around the lineup in a big inning, or turning a triple play or whatever impressive feat happened recently in real-life games).

It's hard to hit HRs with Mauer. At least for me it is. His contact swing PCI is enormous though so it makes up for it!

Ha, I'm pretty sure I see you on the leaderboard every week.

It was late last night so I don't remember the exact score but it was somewhere around 800,000 ish, had momentum up to 55 but I was getting a lot of weak grounders so my score wasn't as good as it could have been. What is up with the 40,000,000 score at the top of the leaderboard? Here I though I was getting better. I am hopelessly addicted to this mode, haven't played anything but for the past week.
