    Nicktoons MLB Review

Since 2K acquired the MLB license a few years ago, the company has released a wide range of titles utilizing team names and player likenesses. Beyond the annual release of the MLB2K series, weโ€™ve seen arcade baseball (The Bigs), Japanese imports (Power Pros) and minigame collections (MLB Superstars). However, none of these are nearly as strange as the recent release of Nicktoons MLB.

Easy enough achievements though (and good tracking too). I busted through them in about 3 days. Fun-ish, but I agree with the final sentiment: go play The Bigs 2.

Bummer. They could've done so much more with this game, but I guess they just wanted to rush something out in time for the pennant chase and hope it would sell on the strength of the Nicktoon license.

"Quick Play is the standard exhibition mode, but instead of playing with a regular MLB team, you draft Nicktoons to fill certain holes in the lineup".
Wouldn't it have made more since toplay with a Nick Team, and draft MLB players to fill the spots?
How am I going to know if Sponge Bob hits more homers that Stimpy? But I would know that Derek Jeter is a better SS than say Joe Blow.

I like the draft a team feature. Reminds me of Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball for the NES.

Slightly off topic, but why didn't they just make a Bigs 3 game?

I remember there was a thread here asking questions about the game and stuff. Whatever happaned to it? Or is it an every other year game?

If it is an every other year game, this would have been the year. I've been playing through the Bigs 2 (before and after this review), and I think it may be one of the most underrated sports games of this generation. It's really a lot of fun!

Would have loved a Bigs 3...

They give ratings for the Nick characters--a 5 star system like in Bigs 2. How they found out who had the most power, contact, speed, etc. is anyone's guess.

Logic? Sponge Bob for example is a sponge so probably doesn't have much power but is likely a good fielder because he absorbs things.

Only store that had this to rent had it for the Wii so I don't know the actual ratings but that seems to make sense.
