Judging by the way Russell responds to the OS forum, I'm sure he and Knight have exchanged communication and Russell is appreciative. The whole concept of roster creation adds a unique element to the game outside of gameplay. Anybody can create a roster but not many have the patience and ability like Knight and his friends to commit to detail in such a short timeline. We all reap the benefits from their hard work and dedication and to get these up by opening day is purely amazing.

Im actually curious as to the process Knight and Co. use to get these done. ie: what types of research is used. Do you guys go through minor league team rosters and judge stats, actually read scouting reports, etc?

I know I myself use multiple sources.
Basic stuff in as far as....minor league stats from baseball reference.
Scouting reports where available...
Web sites....mostly from avid fans..
Publications such as Baseball America Prospect Handbook and The Minor League Analyst.

A lot of the guys use the same.
