Top Five Farm Systems in MLB 12: The Show: #1 Toronto Blue Jays

1. Toronto Blue Jays

Last season, the Blue Jays dealt Roy Halladay away to Philadelphia for a trio of top prospects in Kyle Drabek, Travis d'Arnaud and Michael Taylor. Of that trio from the Halladay trade, Drabek and d'Arnaud remain while Taylor finds himself with the A's.

There are other key cogs in the Jays farm system, with OF Jake Marisnick, lefty pitcher Daniel Norris, and outfielder Anthony Gose all giving the Jays a healthy dose of fresh talent coming up in the coming years.

While playing in the AL East is tough, if you use the Jays farm system right you can probably compete with the Yankees and Red Sox within a couple of years as the Blue Jays head man.

Surprised not to see the Royals on this list, but happy as a Jays fan to see them number one in something.

Most of the royals prospects are actually playing on the MLB club so I'm not sure it counts as "farm systems." There sure is alot to look forward to in Toronto. Go jays!!

Ya. And the thing not mentioned was how Taylor was traded for Wallace(basically in the same Halladay deal) and then Wallace was traded for Gose(who was ranked 39th on top prospects list, top 20 among batters)

Weird beginning. It's been a while since we've had Halladay on the team!

That said, I'm glad they've got their rightful place on top of this list.

Those Las Vegas 51's are pretty stellar, if any of you guys get out in the LV area check out a game. Got to see JP Arencibia put up a big 4 hit game a couple of years ago. The Jays have a really good system in hand, hopefully they keep building it up because I see them having the foundation of a few World Series runs soon.

You could make an argument for the Rays making this list as well, but all in all it's a good list
