Here's why i prefer Lebron over Wade...
#1, He's a better athlete. He's 6'8-6'9, 250-260, younger, in the best physical shape, never gets hurt, can play more minutes. He jumps higher, is quicker, is longer, is taller, is stronger. So he can get his own shot whenever he wants. He can drive, he can shoot a mid-range shot, he can shoot a 3. He has just as much of a chance to make one of those shots as he does miss them.
#2, He'll make the better decision. When Wade has the ball in the final moments you know Wade is taking the shot. Very rarely does he look to pass it unless he can't get anything and needs a bail out. With Lebron he makes the right basketball decision. The pass the Haslem was the right decision. The pass to Marshall early in his Cavs career was the right decision. No matter how many times he gets criticized for passing up the last shot it's usually the right decision.
Jordan passed to Kerr, Jordan passed to Paxton. They made the shots. This idea that he only gets credit if he makes a game winning shot is something that we didn't hold athletes accountable for until recently. People weren't sitting around asking if Barkley was clutch if he could or couldn't make a last second shot.
But once Jordan retired everyone was judged on the Jordan scale. The media was looking for the next Jordan. Hill, McGrady, Kobe, they were looking for the next Jordan and unless they did what he did they weren't good enough. Kobe is really the only one to compare with Jordan because his game is the closest to MJ's. He plays that post with the turnaround J, he's the same size, same type of skills. Even though Kobe played with Shaq numbers wise he has ended up with 5 rings.
So now Lebron comes in. He has to be better than Kobe because he is supposed to be the best since Jordan. All the hype and he was better than was hyped. He played for a crap franchise with mediocre teammates and carried them to the best record in the NBA and a Finals appearance. Every thing he did was judged on the Jordan scale though.
If he makes the last shot tonight people brush it off and say no big deal its Indiana. If he does it next round against Boston big whoop it's not the Finals. If he does it in the Finals big whoop it was a shortened season and he got lucky Rose got hurt.
He is hands down the best player in the world. If you don't want the ball in his hands on the final play then you don't know basketball.
