NHL 13 Screenshot - Using the Chop to Knock the Puck Away

Check out the new NHL 13 screenshot, featuring Karlsson and Seguin using the chop to knock the puck away.

What are the chop controls you ask? It's a combination of left stick movement and RB/R1 (Poke). Great for chipping loose pucks out.
Platform: Xbox 360 / PS3

Very nice addition! I always went into the boards (as the pic shows above) tapping the poke check button. I'm hoping that this is one of MANY additions that they've added that will result in more loose pucks. The game has always needed more loose pucks but will probably need it even more so in NHL 13 with all the love that offense is getting with the speed of the game.

Good to hear this is being implemented. Here's hoping there are more things like this in the game!

I just hope it's not too powerful like the stick lift and results in loss of the puck and or stick every time it happens.

Left stick to aim? So I can't skate forward and chop a puck aside? Or does this tie into true performance skating where I have to be gliding?

Nice addition & great to see something to help the defense out a bit. Looking forward to seeing some actual gameplay footage actually showing this off.

Left stick? Right stick would've made more sense, no? As manual poke was already there...

I thought this thread was about the chop feature...
