The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
NBA 2K needs to just keep the game within the Sim direction. do not go the way of Madden. do not make it too gaudy with the menus, get down to the point that it's a sim basketball game. 2K did it with 2K11 and they can do it again.
More like NBA2JAY. They need to tone down the amount of Jay Z videos etc. in this game. It steals the spotlight away from the NBA and not in a good way.
definitely not 9.5 worhty. fun factor isn't that high. my honest opinion this game is about a 9.0 or just under. Plays a lot like NBA Live with the new controls. That isn't bad but I don't see 9.5 in this game and I've spent some time on it.
I get the feeling that OS has a lot riding on giving this game a great review score. You know, the economy is bad, LOL!!!
This game has so many problems its mindblowing how you rate it a 9.5 smh from Sluggish defenders to the lack of realism in regards to CPU shot making and the fact they pretty much sold us the same game with a dribble stick was the last straw for me. I'm not paying $65 bucks for roster updates anymore, this is officially my last 2k purchase

Agreed, how can people play a basketball game where you can't even block a dunk or layup, and still give it a score of 9.5?
Totally agree. 9.5 is spot on. This for me is the best sports game I've ever played & I've been playing sport games video games since I was 7 (1982). 2K Sports can stand proud at what they've achieved here. A developer that has made some bad decisions & have literally shrunk to a one sport production team have returned once more to set the benchmark of just what is possible with a sports simulation. 2K have shown what can be done & hopefully in time & with the coming of a new generation of hardware the standard of game depicted in NBA 2K13 will be seen across the whole spectrum of sports simulations.
Hmmm, I'm surprised the problems with MyTeam weren't mentioned. Seems like a lot of this review are just commonly heard talking points and not a strong critique.
Can't say i'm too surprised though. OS is known for being pretty bias for 2k. We need reviewrs that actually talk about things that are seriously wrong with the game(like VC points, autosave, my player ai, rebounding, etc.)

But a former staff writer was hired at ea? I am only pointing that out to say that what company you think the site favors is based quite a bit off of your own opinion.
Btw, how have 2ks baseball reviews gone here? Or are you talking about people praising three of the best sports games ever made in nfl 2k5, college hoops 2k8, and NBA 2k11. A classic every three years in a genre will earn praise from a website based on that type of game. Shocking, I know
Horrible review, this sounds like relaying press releases of 2k and calling it a review, no analysis of how well the new VC system works, not mention of the many many glitches that are back. And when does 2K start to get heat for their atrocious menus, and settings that don't save properly.
The Game play is much improved over 2k12, even with the glitches, the presentation took a big step backwards. They really made it look like a TV broadcast last year, this year it feels like Jay-Z presents Basketball not even NBA..
I give this review one star rating. The horrible implementation of VC wasn't pointed out. If you played other recent sport games with their ultimate team implementation, you should see how 2K is shoving VC concept down people's throat with their approach. I'm not completely against company making money off this. But VC should only be within MyTeam mode. That's where it belongs.
