EA CEO John Riccitiello Named One of 50 Most Powerful Men in Sports

When it comes to sports at least, John Riccitiello has been named one of the 50 most powerful men in sports, besting such figures as Dana White, President Barack Obama, and Mark Cuban in a recent list from Sports Illustrated. Roger Goddell and David Stern, the NFL and NBA league commissioners respectively, both top the list. Riccitiello didn't appear in a similar list on the Sports Business Journal late last year.

What do you guys think? Does Riccitiello and EA have that much impact on sports?

I really wish we were seeing the CEO of Natural Motion here. I still wonder what a Backbreaker 2, 3, 4, etc would look like.

Impact on sports? Perhaps sports gaming, and only if we're quantifying the negatives. Still, Peter Moore had far more negatives than Riccitiello ever had.

This corporate tool thinks piracy is his biggest problem. So he stays away from PC (even though piracy is just as big on xbox) and comes up with always online-DRM ideas (like SimCity)... What a moron.
