Looks interesting. Given FIFA 14 is looking like a roster update at best, this is probably the one thing that will determine whether I buy the game or not. FIFA's shooting and ball shot physics are two of biggest reasons I prefer it over PES.

Don't forget the licenses and the graphics, that's the reason I'll get FIFA on next-gen and PES this gen.

I have PES 2011 and I picked up PES 2013 on Steam last week for $14.95. IDK, I find it near-impossible to play that series, it's like kicking a balloon around the pitch for 90 minutes, ugh.

Yeah, I always found PES to have a more realistic flow to the games but the players feel like pieces of wood. That's why I couldn't play them this gen, along with the bad graphics and lack of licenses. PES 2014 is looking like it could be the best football game ever though. I hope I'm right.

Re: FIFA 14 Video - Pure Shot and Real Ball Physics

Nothing about that video makes me think that shooting or ball physics will be more realistic. So, players will be able to get off even cleaner and more accurate shots than previous years? We can already crush the top corner with either foot with pretty much any striker we want. Making it easier doesn't make the game more realistic. Shot accuracy should be lower, if anything. But whatever.

Good point but I never worry about that. It's very easy to globally adjust player ratings; to lower shot accuracy and alternate foot ability, both of which I've done with my game. I'm much more concerned and interested with improvements to the game mechanics and core programming itself -- the things that can't be fixed via editing.

I picked up PES 2013 during the Steam Summer Sale too. Before this I'd never played a PES game and since it was on sale I figured I'd check it out. I played a few games as North London (didn't realize how much the licensing mattered to me till now) and I haven't touched it since then.
