I read the article on the science of QB ratings and I honestly won't believe THP really does any of that stuff until someone proves it, lol.

Throw Power rating (THP) affects the speed at which the ball is thrown for each of the passing trajectories. A strong-armed QB can get deeper throws to receivers faster, helping avoid interceptions and incompletions.
Did you Know: The THP takes into account the weather conditions when determining the power behind throws. The wetter the conditions, the less power your QB’s will have behind their throws.

It wasn't because of their arms that they threw so many interceptions, it was their decision making. Cutler and Favre also make some downfield throws and throws in traffic that other quarterbacks could only dream of. Their arms helped them avoid throwing more interceptions than they did. Their decision making is the reason for the interceptions.

Yes, but Madden acts like having a strong arm QB will solve all problems. It's a lot more than just being strong armed to prevent INTs. Chad Pennington didn't have a good strong arm, but was smart with the ball. Hell, even having a strong arm can make you overthrow the ball and cause incomplete passes. So, Madden acting like having that strong arms. If it did, JaMarcus Russel would still be a starting QB. Hell, even getting a ball faster, usually means a less arching throw, which can be a bad thing for some receivers in making where only the WR can get it.

I believe the article even says that THA is more important than THP

They say something along those lines. So I don't think they mean THP as a "Solve all problems"

But THP does effect bullet passes. And THA effects how often you throw the pass perfectly. Which usually leads to YaC. Also THP has a huge effect on deep passes (especially for CPU qb). In that it gets the ball there quicker and you can still rainbow it. ( think of sneaking it in between safeties on cover 2/3)

I'm not sure if Andre Johnson is still worthy of a 97 ovr. Maybe a 95.

Seeing Megatron and Adrian Peterson as the only 99ovrs on offense is refreshing since those are the only two that deserve that rating this year.
