They have actually three dribble trailers out. I'm still buying 2k but live looks a whole lot better in real time. Graphics aren't that bad and the game modes they announced have my attention....

Guy's everyone can agree dribbling looks good, but the player isn't in motion. We saw from the trailer that movement animations still look very bad. Did you see Derrick Rose tippy toe for that dunk, it looked very, very bad.

Soooo. Next blog is going to be about the dribbling too? Yay.

They could have included how to do the moves in this blog and dedicated the next to, say, other gameplay improvements?

Video's look good though. Excited to see how this feels in my hands.

Re: NBA Live 14: New Dribble Moves Information Released

Why do the dribbling videos on Youtube have so many dislikes? That is crazy. NBA Live trailer was less than impressive. But if there is one thing that looks great it's the dribbling. Fanboyism ruins everything.

I can't wait to play both basketball games on next-gen. They both will have their strengths and weaknesses. We know Live will have more weaknesses than 2k, but that should be expected. Next-gen is looking promising for both games.

For some reason none of the videos on the blog are loading, can someone post the links to the videos?

Setting up your man will be more fun than ever, no doubt. I wonder how the defensive reactions will look?

Vids look pretty good, but the frame rate seems slightly off...

And for what its worth, those complaining about players not 'moving', should understand the moves showcased here were setup moves...they're supposed to be stationary.

Re: NBA Live 14: New Dribble Moves Information Released

They need to get James Harden in a Mo-Cap suit asap, I don't think there's anyone in the league that uses these standing isolation moves as much as him.

I like the way it looks though. Seems like it could be a lot of fun, and the fact that you can break out of any animation at any time gives you so many options, and with 50+ packages it's going to be fun learning the different players and speeds.

Also I like the route EA is going with these layers skills, like how they're doing the precision running in Madden. It'll differentiate the people with the skills from the casuals, it's simple enough to pick up, but deep enough to learn. They need to add these types of layered skills to shooting, post moves, rebounding, passing, off ball movement; everywhere.

The layered tiers should become universal through out the game, it would make the game extremely deep for the hardcore fans, yet simple for the casual. I remember the days when you had to ask people "Yo, How'd you do that?" I miss that in gaming, skills are slowly fading away for pretty looks. I hope Live is bringing back the true skill competitive sports gaming needs.

Looks good, and a great foundation to build off.
