Re: MLB 14 The Show Video - Texas Rangers vs. Philadelphia Phillies (PS4)

I really thought we might get more than 3 player models this year on the PS4. There's a lot of small things I thought would be fixed, like the glove actually being closed when a ball is in the web (Yu Darvish in warmups). The game is pretty sharp though, even though everything looks the same but in 1080p...

I heard we only get a fly-in over the dalmatian in Turner Field

I'm not sure how to interpret fly-ins. I don't really care about them in particular, but according to either bayman or inhocmark (I forget who said it) they show shots outside the stadium. That's all I expected it to be.

For example, the scene described by PSNation in his PS4 preview of seeing the view of the city from Kauffman Stadium. That wasn't a fly-in, but it DOES add to the immersion. That is what I am curious about.

So much of the player movement looks so stilted and stiff. The hitting and fielding are as smooth as ever (when the ball arrives), but players running and throwing motions are wooden. It lacks all of the grace and power. Same as it ever was. Probably the biggest thing I was hoping to see improved on the PS4 version. Maybe next year.
