There's something there but, I could see everyone's point. They didn't have a splashy offseason.

Curious to see other peoples point of views and the reasons for them.
Nets are 9th and the Knicks are 8th even though the Nets had one of the best records in the league from Jan 1st thru the end of the season all while missing their best player for most of the year?

Hornets are that much better than the Nets as well? Not mad or upset because I know ultimately team ratings won't factor much(it'll be on the user basically)but just curious how they came to this conclusion. I'm guessing potential played a significant factor in these ratings as well, which is fair.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been working on his game intensely during the off-season. He has completely re-tooled his shooting motion, so his scoring ability and efficiency should improve and that is added to an already awesome defensive player.

The top four teams in no order should be: Cavaliers, Bulls, Hornets and Wizards. The Hawks are a really well coached team and they have some nice players, but their postseason success is a bit exaggerated. The Indiana Pacers stumbled into the postseason, they were the #1 seed by virtue of having an amazing first half of the season. They were pretty mediocre during the 2nd half of the regular season and continued that into the playoffs. The Pacers also struggled vs the Washington Wizards before eventually going down to the Miami Heat.
The Eastern Conference is unpredictable because really several of those teams were crappy before last year and it's not a forgone conclusion they won't revert back to their old ways.....

For all we know Philly and Boston could sneak into the Eastern Conference playoffs if they get to 38 wins.....That's how bad things have been in that conference for the past few years.

Heck you could make a argument that Miami even without LeBron is still on par with a team like Charlotte or Atlanta.

If I was betting man the only two teams that I would consider a sure fire playoff lock is Cleveland and Chicago.....

Everyone else you could just roll the dice and hope they stay consistent for more than 1 year (Washington, Charlotte and Brooklyn).

Brooklyn's been in the playoffs the 2 years and the only teams that have been there more are the Bulls and Heat(Pacers as well but was speaking moreso on the Top 8.

Id say they've been consistent enough all things considered.

Hibbert averaged 5 PPG and 4 RPG in that series. Hawks were basically playing 5 men vs. 4.

It is what it is though.

Celtics should be 8-9th. They very well may slip into the 8th seed this year.

And LOL @ Nuggets being 13th..
