Sounds good in writing. It's got to play well though. I kind of wish the catch type would be automatic based on ratings. Not sure we need another varied control for something like this, but it sounds promising.

From JP:
"For sure, just the fact the DBs are actually pressing and interacting with the WR more alone changes the way man coverage works. I had a play where I lined up in man coverage in a goal line situation and Clay Matthews was covering the TE(Bennett of CHI I believe) and he fought him at the line of scrimmage and for the ball like I've never seen a LB do in Madden. In case anyone was wondering, the new interactions also apply to LBs, TE's and S's."

Great news. Hope it works out. Like the direction this year where game play is the biggest improvement instead of some new glitchy feature. Just hoping for balance and football principals to work

This screenshot speaks volumes about the improvement of WR/DBs and awareness.

This a 4 man interaction taking place, you have the WR and CB, CB has his arm around WR, knocks ball out, the other defender is falling underneath WR and the S is coming over to try to intercept the pass.

I've been a little underwhelmed by some of the older screenshots but that ones does peak my interest. I'm looking forward to more news about the DB/WR play this week.

All the news from E3 sounds great I can't wait to hear how the game plays from the E3 game floor. I could do without the Draft a Champion feature... yawn. On a side note... did anyone else notice ODB has tattoos?!! Wish more players would get the rights to their tats.
