Just keep the old consoles if you want to play your old favorites. I haven't upgraded yet but why waste time and resources screwing with old gen stuff on the new consoles?

I have no problem with this, as long as NCAA games will hopefully be released in the somewhat near future...

"If it's not easy, don't even try it"- sounds like the slogan of a true visionary...

Fact is X1 is playing catch up and they need to incorporate things like this to gain some buzz. If ps4 were in the same boat as X1 believe me they would have figured out a way to incorporate b.c.--No matter how "hard" it may be.

Not a big deal at all. I would argue that outside of the hardcore, barely anyone cares about or is asking for this feature.

Aside from the fact there might not be enough room in the entertainment center for an old console why wouldn't you just play the old games in the old console? I don't get this at all.

Speaking for myself I don't like having multiple consoles hooked up to the same tv as the area tends to look cluttered. Also don't like hooking up, un hooking and storing away (rinse, repeat). Being able to play some of the older games that I never got a chance to play and all new gen games on 1 platform is a pretty cool thing. Not groundbreaking or a gamechanger or anything but a nice perk...

Not to belabor the point but if you are short connections on the TV they do make HDMI splitters and you can get a power strip. I have enough room in my center for damn near every console I have ever bought.
