Madden NFL 16: E3 Recap, and What to Look for Next

Today, we're sitting down with Ben Vollmer to discuss his experiences with Madden NFL 16 at E3. We discuss what Madden is doing right and what we should be most concerned with as the game marches towards release in late August.

If you haven't done so yet, be sure to read Ben's thoughts on Madden from E3, both his initial hands-on impressions and his more fleshed out impressions of the game from the show.

Be sure to watch the video above and also check out the E3 gameplay trailer for the game if you haven't done so already.

I'm pretty excited for this years release. I'm already looking towards madden 17 because I think the the core of the game is pretty much where it needs to be, now we can get into really individualizing the players and getting a more organic game.

It's great that the cheese plays are being addressed. Play real football! Cracks me up that the competitive players were complaining about money plays not working. If you are so good you shouldn't have to rely on cheap plays that work no matter what.

I like your optimism, snc237, but I'm running out of years, I was hoping for 16 to be that game.

I have a random question

What rating dictates how likely a defender is to be successful when playing the man and knocking the ball loose?

I know there is a catch rating for interceptions/playing the ball. Is there a "defend pass" rating?

Would bringing back the game plan mode that gave you 3 pays your opponent ran the most help the AI? Like if I'm in my franchise and every week I run the same 15 to 20 offense/defense pays, if the AI knows your play (because you run 10 times a game) wouldn't that change how we play in CCM?

Not sure about rating other than maybe "awareness"??
However we do have the traits (Play ball: Agrresive Yes/No)
