The cut off date to add players is weds ...so anything that happens up through today should reflect on the rosters.

The roster would be too incomplete if they released it now.

Several teams haven't set depth charts, announced injuries, made the correct roster moves after claiming recently released players on waivers. Plus they have to correct all the players who have changed numbers and create all the UDFA who made the team.

and its not as easy as it sounds, I checked community rosters and a lot of them are missing UDFA, have incorrect depth charts, have incorrect numbers, etc

Its hard to keep track of everything.

Yea I kinda thought it was the Friday after opening game every year, especially since teams (Pats, Philly) are still currently dealing players.

That doesn't make it right though. Some people,(not me) are so hardcore that they want to start simultaneously with the season. They should be afforded that right. I mean the rosters ARE final.

Final? People are getting traded as we speak. Some are still getting cut and other being signed...........

I think the Thursday night game isn't an official "Thursday night' game this week, it's more the Season Kickoff game. Meaning I don't think either team will be wearing Color Rush uni's. I am hoping to see the Color Rush uniforms immediately after the Thursday night games in the Friday updates.

And yes, to answer the OP, the updates have always been on Fridays and that works best to get the latest updates/transactions in.

Ok, so maybe it would be better to get an update earlier. But give credit that the actual date has been released instead of waiting everyday for an update. This transparency is a good thing.
