Yea pipeline might not updated there. For throw speeds he has 4 throws in the top 10 of the minor leagues. Last year, everyone was going crazy over that O'Neil Cruz throw. It was 97 mph. Elly has thrown 99 mph this year.

His double, at 112mph, is the hardest hit ball by a Red this season. This kid is a monster. Lets see if he can make enough contact.

Yeah his speed and arm strength should be closer to 99 than to 80. He hits the ball harder than anyone not named Aaron Judge as well. MLB pipelines were not updated. Baseball America has him as 80 speed raw power and arm strength I believe

He's definitely one I'll be keeping an eye on

Arm strength-wise, I'll be watching his average. Max was only 88 MPH last night, 2 throws.

Saw a tweet where he has already ran faster and hit the ball harder than any Red this year. 112 exit velo on a double from an 0-2 count.

Thank you sir. This guy is an outlier. Just almost hit one out of the whole stadium, then hit a triple and got from home to third faster than anyone has this year

Thinking his power will need bumping, what a shot that was.

Almost 460 feet.

Yeah . . . lets see how he does over the course of a few weeks at the Major League level before we rate him as this year's MVP.

BaseballAmerica has him with a 70 grade arm. So far this year, his fastest recorded throw from short is only 88.1 MPH (https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savan...r-fielding-mlb). We should have a better idea after he has at least 75 throws from the left side of the infield.

I agree with your approach to how you've rated De La Cruz. Too many people are getting ahead of themselves and trying to make this guy a top 10 player in the league after less than a week of action. He's had a great debut thus far, but a lot of that is because he's amped up from the promotion and teams only have minor league scouting data on him.
