Fight Night Round 3 Interview

We have just posted our interview with Kudo Tsunoda, Creative Guru Type of Fight Night Round 3.
Operation Sports: "Will we be able to schedule fights according to a 12 month calendar and fight every week if we wanted to, instead of only being able to fight 3 times a year?"
Kudo Tsunoda: "There are definitely multiple time frames for different fights in your career. You cannot fight every week, but you can fight anywhere from every 3 weeks up to a year between fights. Each decision you make on the timing of the fights affects your career and boxers readiness for the fight."

Operation Sports: Will the game include detailed gameplay sliders?

Kudo Tsunoda: EA Sports Fight Night Round 3 has many different customizable options in the game. But to me, gameplay sliders are for games that are not able to tune their gameplay properly.
Wow!! Kudos to..........Kudo. Over the years, I've grown to hate gameplay sliders. What a wonderful world it would be if sports games just got the gameplay tuned properly without us having to figure it out via sliders.

I just can't believe an EA guy had the guts to bash sliders in an interview like this. Preach on, brotha!!

Agreed... even if a game is perfect, I subconsiously think I still have to fix the game to make it even more perfect when sliders are around... if we get rid of them, people will just have to accept the product... and this guy is pretty darn confident with his game... SO I AM EXCITED!!!

Great interview. I'll probably rent the 360 version, and see if the PS3 port has any exclusives or not. I doubt it, so I'll probably buy Fight Night on the "Keep It" price from Gamefly.

Nice interview. This game can't get here soon enough. This will be my first foray into the Fight Night series and I can't wait.

Re: Fight Night Round 3 Interview

You know, the demo kind of got me guessing whether or not the game would be worth a pick up. There were also a few questions that seemed to not be fully answered. However, I think that the answers that were given will suffice good enough for me to at least rent it. I'm kind of (re-)excited about this game. Definitely can't wait until it comes out.
