Sliders exist for various reasons. I like them because I’m not the gamepad guru that my nephew is and I respond slowly to certain aspects of a game. This allows me to compensate for my eroded skills. Yes, someday this will happen to you. It allows me to tailor the game to my perceptions. Some people are very picky about realistic stats and others could care less. Sliders allow everyone to suit their own tastes. Frankly, I’m very grateful for sliders. I do agree that too many sliders are frustrating and can actually drive you crazy. A good balance should come straight out of the box and minor adjustments would be optimal.

All those issues and yet it still got a 5 out of 10.

I think this is traditionally the spot where I suggest that OS needs to revamp their numeric scoring system and get flamed for about 6 or 7 pages.

Needless to say, the numeric scoring system needs a reboot. Live needs a much bigger one, but the numeric scoring system here also needs big work

Have fun........

What I think I think:
• Y'know, I've never played less NBA 2K than I did with NBA 2K12
• Sports VG titles were REALLY disappointing in 2011-12
• Thank Heaven for ME3 and Arkham City -- saved my winter

Absolutely. Release a game without sliders and you would face a mutiny. To assume its EA's fault (and this exists for ALL sports games) would only be fair if you were to look at the slider forums and see the same or similar adjustments made for each poster. When you look at the NCAA football slider forum, I like to see what people do but they often do very different things. Some raise blocking, others lower it, some raise def. awareness while others drop it. That simply shows people's expectations and skill levels regarding a game are different and that sliders are the only way to please the majority.

Re: NBA Live 07 Review (360)

I think the gameplay only counts for about half of the game. What it sounded like like to me was that the gameplay might have picked up a point while the rest of the game was fairly 4 pointish. The Lebron moving like he does and playing point like it does sometimes seemed like a positive. Some of the habits you see are translated into the game which is great. The negatives were the foot planting that threw everything else out of whack. The Dynasty, ASW, 3pt contest, and other things added to the 4 points only because they are good additions to the game and weren't taken out like last year. I think the numeric system here is the most accurate to me. Also, he did say sounds was great as well as the commentary. I like what I've heard with the commentary where it's not just script but talking while the game is going on. That's what everyone wants and EA has given them that aspect at least. The "he must have hit the dunk button" remark is a classic when you're playing in a room full of guys and make that mistake. Something that a friend would say. Something that throws you off a bit. That's what everyone is looking for in a game nowadays: Realism in thier own world. Review gets a 10/10

For the record, I love sliders -- I give them a 9.5 out of 10

Trust me, I read it -- I'm just surprised that no one argued with my review of my wife's cooking

The woman can dress to kill, unfortunately, she sometimes also cooks that way

Have fun...................

No that wont happen this time. Youve found a way to make a number of review threads about you and that wont happen here. If you have an issue with the review or the game, feel free to post it here. If you want to use this as a forum for you to rant against the scoring system again, I will consider that trolling and deal with it accordingly.

Have fun......
