F1 22 / Help with voice commands

I'm playing career mode on PS5, and I'm struggling to get the voice commands to work. I've got a PS5 compatible headset but for some reason I can't figure out how to get voice commands working to speak to my engineer. I press the MFD button, the push to talk button, or no button at all, but it's not recognizing any voice commands I say. Any help from someone who's figured it out? I don't want to use the menu buttons of the MFD because I crash every time I have to navigate through it. Thanks

This was a missing feature in last year's game as well. I remember looking into it and apparently there is some sort of security flaw related to the voice command functionality and, instead of fixing the security flaw, they just disabled voice controls on the PS5. What makes it doubly strange is that voice commands work just fine on the PS4 version. So annoying having to press r1 while holding r2 (it's so fun having to change your grip into a ****ing claw while playing) on a long straight to get some info from the pit. I was very hopeful this was an issue with F1 2021 that would be fixed for the new game, but we all know the boner EA has for letting legacy issues last for years. Maybe they'll get it resolved for the PS6.

thanks for the info. and wow, that is immensely disappointing. would hope that EA would want to fix that at some point.
