Franchise game crashes with custom team?

So, I created a custom team with custom logo, got the franchise going, played game 1 no issues, but now it keeps crashing in the game intro scene in game 2. Tried deleting it and restarting several times, same result.

Are franchise crashes with custom teams a thing? Anyone having or had similar issues?

I had a similar issue in Madden, crashed at the same exact spot. I had downloaded a playbook earlier. I went and deleted that playbook and had no problems afterwards. I don’t know, maybe it had a virus.

Back in the spring I had a similar issue in franchise with a created team and for the life of me I can't remember now what was causing the problem. I know that doesn't really help you.....

Well, I scrapped the idea of franchising with a created team, and tried a franchise with Miami. Did the same damn thing. Deleted the app and all saved data and deposited the game in the bin. Guess I'll go buy a used copy of an older game, don't care to shell out more money for buggy crap.

My franchise that I’ve been playing daily (I’m now in the World Series game 1 in 2025) just today started crashing during the first few seconds of the game (national anthem in World Series)

same issue today. crashing on the intro screen for me.

i feel bad for the guy in 2025 world series.

there was a patch today that probably caused this. hopefully they will send a quick patch out soon and it works. give it a couple days.

Temporary fix until patch is released:

Go to your network settings and click
-“GO OFFLINE”

Games can be played and completed in franchise when offline.

Assume this will be fixed for all soon but this can be a temporary fix for those wanting to get franchise games in.
