Play Now Live Update Frozen on Week 1?

One of the things I loved doing in previous years when I wasn't playing Madden as much would be to at least play the weekly matchup for my team, but the weekly "live update" matches are still stuck on week 1? Is there something I need to do to jog this into the current week? So annoying booting it up just to see the live service is two week behind, but I am certainly not surprised.

I asked this same thing on a different thread. Apparently, EA will no longer do this weekly. There is no timetable that I am aware of regarding the next live update.

Nothing you can do, they already said it on Twitter they are not doing weekly updates this year. Ironic thing is, they usually never did anyway in the past, but this year they are just confirming it.

Does this include the updated Weekly Starting points for Franchise?

I think this is likely because Davis and Gaudin don’t do updated weekly commentary anymore as both of these guys have actual NFL broadcast responsibilities during the week.

That’s actually a reasonable explanation.

I was gonna guess the ongoing development of EA Sports College Football has split the studio’s available dev capacity.

Still stinks, though.

Completely agree. Way back in Madden 17 and 18 it was one of my favorite parts of the game. But now the broadcasters have the publicity and we’re back to the scenario of Nantz and Simms where we had recognizable voices but ones who aren’t as available anymore.

So yet another feature going bye bye, unceremoniously. I didn't use it often but it was nice knowing I could jump into a play now game based on the current week schedule.
