Players not recognized by announcers

What is going on, there’s official players in the game yet they are just referred to as he and him. For example Carl Herrera on the 93-94 Rockets. What’s up with that? I remember years back when creating a player there was tons of names that the game recognized, both by PA and commentators and vividly remember Herrera was amongst them. Now he’s officially in yet it’s not recognized. Anyone knows what’s the issue?

I Also the annoucers will talk like the rookie is vet in MYNBA ERAs

Did you import his dna from another era? I’ve heard that if you import dna from the modern era roster (e.g 94 Rockets) into a player within the classic era, they won’t get recognized.

No, literally just playing a game with 94 Rockets and Herrera is not recognized in any shape or form. He's a CAP by 2k officially, so maybe he was a late addition?

Only thing I can think of is that the commentators haven't recorded the name? IF they said the names in past games, then it's a programming issue that the developers need to fix.
