Any tips to reduce fumbles for him when using him out of the backfield?

I bumped his carry rating up. I use cover ball when running with him. But he fumbles nearly every other time he gets it as a wideback. Not much point in having a "Deebo package" if he's going to fumble constantly.

I didn't even think about traits. I checked and his is something like "cover for medium hits" so I changed that to "cover for all hits."

I'll try that and the coaching adjustments to see if I can reduce them a bit.

I see Deebo also has the ''fights for extra yard'' trait.
I wonder if that might also cause a few extra fumbles

Changing the trait to cover for all hits seems to be working. Gave him five carries my last game with no fumbles.

Edit: And of course he fumbles on his first carry of my next game. But one fumble in nine carries is an improvement.

Out of position players at RB will fumble more because they take more fatigue penalties for playing out of position. This is by design from EA. I would probably move him to RB2 and make him a slot receiver. I think this would fix his fumbling issue.

That would probably work too. Only problem for me is I have CMC as my primary slot receiver so that Mitchell can get more carries.

When I fumbled last night, I wasn't using R1. And that's the only fumble so far. I'm fine with him fumbling occasionally.
