AFC Championship: (1)Kansas City Chiefs vs. (3)Cincinnati Bengals

6:30pm EST on CBS

A rematch of last year’s Conference Title game in which the Bengals shocked the world and pulled off the upset.

They look to pull it off for the 2nd year in a row.

Chiefs are 0-3 in the last 13 months against the Bengals. Wouldn't be surprised if that becomes 0-4, especially with Mahomes not 100%. Just hope it's a competitive game either way.

My guy is on a mission and won't be stopped. I know Mahomes is Superman but our defense has played him better than anybody else has and if he can't escape the pocket because of that ankle then they are in for a long day. We also have a stout DL that will stop any threat of the run as well.

If Mahomes were healthy, I would take the Chiefs running away. IMO Kansas City has very obviously been the best team in the NFL through the balance of this season. (Flaming hot take, I know.)

If Mahomes can’t go or is significantly limited though? That changes things for me. I have to acknowledge also that the Bengals have not lost a football game since October 9, and Joe Burrow is trying to prove he is That Dude.

Looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

To me it feels like Chris Jones needs to win this game, not Mahomes. Burrow has shown he doesn't make processing mistakes or miss throws from a clean pocket, so unless you move him, you won't stop him.

Bengals moved the ball really well last game against KC and that game could've easily been a double-digit victory.

- The 4th and 1 blunder on the KC 4 yard line where Dunlap blew up the sweep/shovel pass (I don't quite remember which it was). 0 points instead of 3 or 7.

- Tyler Boyd dropped a WIDE OPEN TD in the end zone, had to settle for a FG instead.

Differences this time (for Bengals)

+ Joe Mixon is back
+ Hayden Hurst is back
- We have 3 backup OL playing. OL was healthy the first game
+ Mahomes is hurt
- Chris Jones and Frank Clark have pretty much done nothing in the first 3 games against us. Feels like they're due especially with a weakened OL on our side. At the same time this new OL last week showed more power/nastiness than I expected, especially Jackson Carman.

I think the Chiefs are eminently beatable. They seemed to skate in game after game after game this season. Wouldn't be surprised if they lost. And I hope Cincy wins.

Just like last year, I'm rooting for Bengals Niners III and hope we get it.

I've seen the video of Mahomes warming up yesterday and I wouldn't put much stock into him not limping around. All it takes is one awkward plant of that foot and he's gonna be limping around again. Superhuman or not, sprains just don't heal that fast and I just don't see how it wasn't a sprain (some people don't think he has a high ankle sprain, just a bone bruise instead)
