MLB The Show 23 Sounds of the Show Only Available on PlayStation 4

Per FAQ. I've seen it mentioned in a couple of threads and wanted to make sure everyone saw it.

Sounds of the Show is only available on PlayStation 4 consoles. On all other consoles, players will have 3 slots to set the Walk-Up music, 1 slot to set the Home Run celebration, and 3 slots for Pitcher Entry music. Players will not be able to upload your own music on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

But again I will get the dual entitlement version for the reason of being able to play with SotS and bounce between it and the PS5 version

are they planning on giving us any GOOD NEWS yet?? to be excited about? instead of disappointment?

Sucks there won't be SOTS for these games for next gen. I was probably one of the more active people on here a decade ago when it came to SOTS.

Part of me feels like OS users were why MLB teams release full playlists for walk-up music now. They didn't used to do it even a decade ago (they'd briefly show it during a game, but not the lists like we see today).

Not a big deal we’ve been used too it for a while now, I’ll just keep playing the Ps4 version for franchise with SOFTS and play Diamond dynasty on ps5 version..

Maybe they had no time implementing SOTS to new gen because they were focussing on major graphical updates? jokes*

Does anyone know if it will be like last year where you can get SotS on the PS4 version, but play it on the PS5? That's what I did, other than during a couple of patches, it cleared everything and they had to be added again, it worked out fine.

TOTALLY agree with this. Not just that but lots of other things like classic jerseys and teams, etc definitely have to do with responding in some way to modding communities. Except their versions are never as good as what people here make.

Yes you can play with SOFTS on PS5 with the ps4 version like last year .

If PS4 version was the exact same as PS5 minus graphics, I'd definitely consider it. The stadium creator is a feature that I like on PS5, though not sure if I like it more than SOTS.

from what I understood, the ps5 and new gen xbox versions had to have the exact same features, so the ps5 version had to be held back so as not to be obviously better than the xbox version. I'm not a fan of that ideology but oh well

But since i am getting the collectors edition that comes with ps4 and ps5 versions. I am playing on a ps5, If I use the ps4 version on the ps5 I can use the sounds of the show and bring in music? Even though I am playing on ps5?


And does it allow you to enter the closer music like the trumpets for Diaz?

I did that twice, myself. But then they had the website that listed them for a few years.
