Just a heads up that we're gonna try using this as a sort of catch-all for all the pre-release coverage we do. We'll still have individual stories, but we want like a one-stop shop FAQ of our own that sort of just puts everything in one article.

Really curious to see how they improve/expand upon the presentation in '22. The presentation took a huge leap forward in '22 and I'm anxious to see what they did to improve upon it.

Yeah I'm banking on a lot of new/updated presentations for '23. I'm also hoping that some of what they removed comes back, like minor league updates, etc. I really liked a lot of the '22 presentations.

I forgot how negative it gets around these parts this time of year. I get that the direction the game seems to be going is disappointing for some, but we literally don't know anything about the game except for a couple disappointing but unsurprising details, and a bunch of folks are coming out of the woodwork to complain. I get that there are legitimate gripes to be had, but can we at least wait to hear some more details before all the threads turn into the same discussion?

They need three things

New grass
New cloth physics where the wind can make the clothing flap like in mlb 2k7
The pitching interface from pro Yakyu spirits

• Next Gen Graphics (baseball gloves in back pocket while in batters box please.)

• High fives for defensive and non home run plays. It’s 2023 just watch 3 innings of a live baseball game.

• adding those two details above will get me to buy. If not wait until the post season for a price discount.

• All branding and marketing but no guts. Oh I get it MLB THE “SHOW” lol.

Yep, now that I have moved from a Vita to a Steam Deck as my primary gaming device, I was REALLY hoping they would port this to the PC, but no such luck. I guess SMB 3 (or 4?) it is!

Quick question, I'm looking to purchasing a ps5 later this year but in the mean time, I'm planning on purchasing the standard edition for ps4 to hold me over during the spring time. (Right now, I'm still sucking up as much time with MLB 20 as long as I can). It says theres a $10 upgrade to ps5. Does that mean its $10 towards upgrading to ps5 version or the ps5 version will only be $10 to purchase? TIA.

Hello I did this for MLB 22 I paid $10.00 for the PS5 full game. I believe it's because I brought MLB The Show 22 on PS4. The graphics are a slight better and smoother animations, night games looks slightly better as if the light is coming from the ground up.

Its not a true Next Generation Console experience graphically. So if that next gen graphic update happens in 2023 I will buy or pre-order if not save your money play mlb 22 and save your money until after the MLB season and get it at a cheaper price. It took my from MLB 19 and onwards to learn this lesson lol.
