Super Bowl LVII: (1)Philadelphia Eagles vs. (1)Kansas City Chiefs

Thought I created a thread for it but didn’t see one so here y’all go.

Last NFL game of the year but luckily not the last Football game as XFL and USFL will be starting back up right after.

Anyway, good to see Media Day hasn’t changed much with the foolishness that gets asked:

Finally, we get an answer to the only question football fans truly cared about:

Which Super Bowl contender will sign Odell Beckham?

Re: Super Bowl LVII: (1)Philadelphia Eagles vs. (1)Kansas City Chiefs

I got Philly in this one. I feel like Philly has the better overall team, while KC has better higher end talent in Mahomes, Kelce, Jones. Philly's the more physical team. Philly is legit on both sides of the line. If Philly can establish the run and protect the ball, that's the key to winning. KC's playing rookies in the secondary and I do think Philly can take advantage of the guys opposite of Sneed. With KC's high pass rate, that plays into Eagles pass rush. Philly has to contain Chris Jones, that's the key. While Eagles can take advantage of the youth in KC secondary, I think it is important to establish the run. They don't want to get into a shootout with Mahomes or give them extra possessions by having 3 & outs. It's the cliche win the ToP and Turnover battle for the Eagles and to control the flow of the game.

I think KC can definitely win, especially if they can get an early lead and get turnovers. While Philly has the #1 Pass Defense, they haven't really played an elite QB. Their best opponent QBs were Cousins, Prescott, and Rodgers. So, Mahomes will be a challenge. I think Kelce will have to be great for them to win. Not sure KC's makeshift WR can win against Eagles DBs. Kelce will be the best TE they faced all year, Kittle didn't get a chance because of Purdy injury. KC has to make Philly one dimensional. Philly can demoralize a team by running it when you know it's coming. If Philly has a weakness on Defense, it's tackling in space. There was only a few games where Eagles had to come back in the 2nd half and won, so getting a early lead and dictating the flow of the game is vital for KC

Also Mahomes health will be important. They can't allow Philly's Dline to feast, especially since it is a mismatch with Reddick going up against their RT. I think Hurts will be closer to 100% compared to Mahomes. It would be 8 weeks since Hurts injury compared to 3 for Mahomes. Only real limitation for Hurts past couple games was that he wasn't trying to seek contact on runs, but I can see him disregarding that in the 2nd half of SB if needed.

We're good to be honest. Don't need scouting reports.

I was leaning Philly most of the last two weeks, but with KC getting a clean bill of health I think they pull the "upset"

Something like 28 - 17

Want Philly to win this but for mainly selfish reasons.

Need that Rodgers-Mahomes comparison to remain as close as possible and the Rodgers slander starts to transfer over(The “If he’s so great, then why does he only have 1 ring?). Need them to be consistent with that.
