Wasn't expecting that. Pretty clearly a International Women's Month DLC. I like it. Two potential title challengers so it makes sense.

Are they ever going to release UFC 5? I may be mistaken but I think this is the largest gap time wise between games since EA took over. Didn’t UFC 4 come out in 2020?

Yep, last one dropped in 2020. There's some insider (who apparently is trustworthy) who said 5 should launch in summer of this year. Heres to hoping.

They're still releasing fighters for UFC 4 so I find it hard to believe it comes out this summer

I have no idea when/if this will drop but releasing fighters shouldnt be taken as a sign that a future game isnt dropping at a particular time period.

At this point I'd imagine we won't hear about it until around June which is when EA would do what would have been their E3 stream (apparently this years' E3 is pretty much dead too, but I am sure EA will have a stream of their own).


I'll be looking at the game but the interest is no longer there. EA UFC 4 is my least played in the entire franchise, not saying the game wasn't good, just a lost of interest on my part. The rumors of a new engine in play could change things up a bit I guess, we'll find out soon enough.


Don't know if I will buy the game, might just look at some streams instead.

If anything, I've inferred it as a way not to fall too far behind by trying to at least keep up with fighters fighting for titles/main events in between games.

Since the roster isn't a huge needle mover for sales, feels like a good idea to keep some users (me!) happy and make the sure the next game feels more current at launch.

I think even if UFC 5 has been released, UFC 4 can still continue with the last few DLCs, they still work, it seems that these modules can be carried over to UFC 5 so it won't cause delays

"Releasing fighters"... This ain't Tekken, where a new release means a whole bunch of gameplay changes. It's literaly just a couple of faces pasted on the same 3 character models. There is nothing unique about these but the nametag.

I get that its an easy way to get casuals happy - "oh look, new free DLC! Ty!" - but i just see it as a new meaningless 4gig patch to override the last one i failed to install.

Again: hope this means theyre taking their time reworking the engine.

Yeah, I dont know that there are many "casuals" who care that Fiorot and Aldana were added.

Its funny how EA can do a good thing (admittedly they do alot bad) like add new fighters for a game that is dead from a sales point and still get bashed for it.

I guess I'm still a tad bit frustrated with them still not having included champion gear for all fighters, like in the previous installment. It can't be that hard as they manually switch champions anyway. Saves them from having to do it at every title switch.


But I get it: different teams, and they've made clear now that the programmers are finished with EAUFC4. Hopefully they reimplement it in 5.
