We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Very first thing they mention is HUT and CHEL. The rest of the stuff looks decent, but it'll be buggy as it's the first year.
Good building block though and hopefully passing isn't so frustrating when you've thought the play three steps ahead but you can't make it because the passing system is whack.
I liked this a lot man, and cannot wait for it in October man, , I was drooling man at all the new stuff added. definitely A + for better stuff added to the game. am glad they added a pressure system, which should help with goals, I always wondered if existed in NHL 23 how, cause in NHL 23 my team would de-pressure my own often leading to like 7-4 scores, cause my teammates would give up odd-man rushes to slot or front of the net.
I will wait till I get my hands on the game, but this doesn’t bode well 😫
Pressure, pressure, pressure ! So EA will have ANOTHER under the hood thing to frustrate players even more ? It’s already in the game BTW that when you sustain pressure in the Ozone that the Defensive team gets tired and overwhelmed… They struggle already when trying to GetThePuckOut !!! And to TOP it off, you will have ICONS a on the ice and on the BOARDS telling you this?? Like seriously EA ? Why don’t you make the screen turn RED while you’re at it !!! Why not ?
Players also already fall and react the way they do in the trailer, needs adjustments sometimes but still !
Over the board and glass breaking is returning to the series, that’s a nice touch !
Goalies might find it better, we’ll have to see…
No talks about roster sharing, online VS, custom Onlines, no Franchise or BAP modes… That doesn’t look good for OFFLINE players, not in the slightest…
That’s it for now, but I can’t say I will buy this full price when it comes out…
Trailer actually looked pretty good. Hitting looks fun. Icon passing returning will probably be a little controversial though
Hitting looks ridiculous again. We're going to have lots of clips of whack physics where guys are helicoptering into the sky and slamming back onto the ground.

I guess this is the drawback of a physics-based system. You will get some wacky results as a tradeoff for having unique collisions.
Also encouraging to see Presentation upgrades mentioned - looking forward to seeing what that exactly looks like and if things like CPU goal replays have returned.
I like what I see. My initial thoughts are the new game play features are going to create a more authentic experience if tuned properly. The exhaust and pressure system specifically is going to be really interesting. I also like the touch passing option to cycle the puck to create more scoring chances. Hopefully it’s not OP. I’m sure there will still be those “cheat” goals like odd man rushes and around the net but I don’t expect perfection.
I gotta admit, the more I think about vision passing, the more weird it seems. The Skill Stick is all about the user having control of the second-to-second gameplay, so y'know if you wanna pass to a guy, you press the analog stick in that direction. Having an automated icon passing system, seems like the opposite of that? I predict that it will not last to NHL 26. I think it's one of those things that seems great on paper, but will feel weird in gameplay.
And again, no mention of BAP. Not even a "stay tuned, we'll have more to say about this later."
Meaning, best case, they've tinkered around the edges, MAYBE?
How in the h-e-double-hockey-sticks are they standing pat, when they already have the worst career mode among every major licensed sport in North America?
This will be the first time in my life, that I'm deliberately skipping NHL for two years in a row.

Agree, afraid that offline players again will get nothing special. Noticed that the goalies stay with this old boring masks, so seems 100% we will not have a mask creator tool. Think also they will not give us new face creating possibilities, much new real player likenesses or much other customization stuff.
How many of you actually watched the replays in full every time? Or did the novelty wear off and you just hit skip to get goin' lol. I know I skipped more often than not.
