EA CFB 25 XP Sliders for Everyone

Hi all! You know me. I am Funkycorm. I make XP sliders. I want a set of XP sliders that is for everyone so I am going to change things up a bit here.

We have an amazing game on our hands. The best football game ever created in my opinion. We can make it even deeper, with our traditional XP position sliders.

Here's the thing, creating XP sliders for Madden is easy. There are 32 teams and the talent across the league is fairly evenly distributed. That is far from the case for College Football. There are 134 teams and a large gap in talent. So, how do we account for this?

Simple. We make these community designed. I will handle the posting of the sliders below and do plenty of testing. We are using different teams in different conferences and running different schemes.

What I want from everyone is their input on these sliders. Share what you have seen for progression for a position, a few position, or all positions. I will update the sliders and we will work as a community to design them.

Note the name of the XP sliders. My name isn't in them and it won't be. I want this to be a community designed set that everyone can enjoy.

When sharing feedback, share the team you are, what coach archetype, any coach skills that may impact XP, and any other additional information that you feel is relevant.

I will update the XP sliders with beta and final version numbers and make sure they are dated so we know what is final and what is potentially being tested.

I will do my best to respond to everyone.


That aside, a few ground rules:

1. Please do not quote the original post or the XP sliders post to avoid confusion and clogging.
2. Be constructive.
3. Be nice and remain positive. This is not a place to bash the game, EA, or anything that is not constructive.
4. Please do not be offended if your specific change does not make it.
5. Respect others. Others will likely have a different opinion than you.

Recommended coach XP setting: Slower or Slowest. Normal has shown that the first 20 levels of the coach XP earning can happen in 1 season and that coaching skills, especially the motivator and architect trees are very overpowered. They all are. But those influence XP gains the most.

Overall, I feel better but not 100 percent about these numbers. They are definitely closer to where we need to be. I am going to research doing 2 different sets of XP sliders for current and future rosters.

With 134 teams and 12,000 players, we have to make a compromise somewhere along the road with these. We can have a lot of 80s and less 90s. Or we can push for the higher amount of 90s and less 80s. We also have to account for the progression being random at times and that a lot can happen with 134 teams.

My goal is to provide balance. And that is why this is another beta version and not a final version.

I have spent a ton of hours studying overalls and XP and playing less and the numbers fluctuate.

I analyzed overalls before, during, and at the end of the season as well and during off season progression for 15 seasons in game. The game continues to provide an influx of talent that remains somewhat consistent as that is the only real constant here.

Thank you. I was hoping you'd make your way to this game. If u need some help w testing I can help run some sims. The best thing about this game is the way players progress is not necessarily on the user so that's 1 less variable. U should be able to really lock in a set a lot easier. Just let me know what u need.

Thank you. I had my share of issues with M24 and I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to do a slider set this year for this game after the interesting conversation in my madden thread last winter.

Where I can use the help at is sharing anything you found that looks good or bad. We need to focus on the year to year with this game. Share what you find.

My first plan is to run a sim and check the middle 20-30 teams in overall (both mean and median) and see how the numbers look there. Then start adjusting from there. So any input or testing is extremely helpful!

Awesome to see you doing this. I always use your Madden XP sliders. That thread did take a weird turn, but your effort to make the sets each year is appreciated.
