The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
Re: NHL 25 Presentation Updates Includes Improved Player Likenesses, Infinite Camera
I am wondering if the Infinite Camera System is only for replays (as the article seems to suggest). It would be nice if it is for normal live gameplay too. Does anyone know?
Re: NHL 25 Presentation Updates Includes Improved Player Likenesses, Infinite Camera
This is god awful.
"He has two goals against This Team".
"He crunched bodies the last time he played this team".
Could it be any more lazier ? It's like they could only program one templated sentence. "He had xx hits/goals the last time he played this team" and the only thing that will change is the variable for whatever stat it is.

Plus Vancouver and New Jersey are hardly rivalsโฆ
They spend time adding stuff no one wants and never spending the time adding or fixing the stuff we ask for โฆ

Yeah, that sounds silly.. leave the presentation, but remove that commentary.

I'm sorry but this is terrible.
Why can't we get a basic NHL 14/15 entrance? Arena dark, teams coming out to their music and goal horn blasting, skating around etc. all while the commentary team talk about this grudge match or whatever pre game stats they want.
So frustrating.
Can't wait to see that same intro in "Chel" where guys are floating in the air and doing some idiotic dance. SIGH
Re: NHL 25 Presentation Updates Includes Improved Player Likenesses, Infinite Camera
Seems like yet another cute addition to distract us from how broken the core gameplay code is.
Maybe take a year off, find a better studio and rewrite the core from scratch within Unreal or another modern engine, and I'll consider buying this dreck again. Sadly EA will change nothing as long as the Ultimate Team cash rolls in.

Those were the days man, especially on 360/PS3 because of the custom music packs on OS. It was the absolute best. Every horn dead on and some even with the teams real PA announcer timed perfectly to announce the team out. All EA needs to do is bring us exactly what you said and add the national anthem and that's it. Why they have to overdo things with this cheesiness is wild.
This reminds me of some NHL Hitz or that arcade game NHL Open Ice.
