What is your WORST moment as a sports fan?

We always talk about the best lets now talk about the worst.

For me it was Opening Day 1990. The Kansas City Royals were coming off a second place finish and signed Cy Young award winning closer Mark Davis in the offseason. They had a talented lineup with HOFer George Brett, Bo Jackson was on the verge of becoming a baseball god. Life couldn't be better for a Royals fan until Mark Davis blew the save. That was the moment Royals baseball turned for the worst.

- West Virginia blowing a 20 point lead against Louisville in the Elite Eight in 2005.

- West Virginia losing on a last second buzzer-beater 30 foot three-pointer against Texas in the 2006 Sweet Sixteen.

- West Virginia losing on the infamous December night in Morgantown in 2007 against Pittsburgh, resulting in Rich Rod's eventual departure and a national championship opportunity smashed.

- West Virginia's overtime loss to Xavier in the 2008 Sweet Sixteen after leading by as much as six in overtime.

Re: What is your WORST moment as a sports fan?

- Princeton upsetting the defending national champions UCLA 51-49 in the first round of the tournament in '95. Fecking back-door cut...

- Tuck Rule Game...UGH.

- #2 UCLA losing 49-45 to unranked Miami in '98, despite holding a 38-20 second half lead, on the last game of the season to spoil a national championship game appearance. The rebirth of Miami football started after that upset.
