E3 NHL 10 Questions

Next week I will be at E3, and behind closed doors EA will be showing NHL 10.

So if you have questions about the game, post them in this thread. Obviously try to keep things in perspective about what to expect, but I'll try my best to get some questions answered.

In addition, as I wrote in my blog entry last week, while I probably won't get a majority of the questions answered at E3, there will be opportunities post-E3 to hunt down answers to your questions.

Can you break glass?
Can you check a guy entirely into the bench?
Are there more player types?
Are there face-off variations?(switch out/shoulder to shoulder/etc.)
Are there more dekes?
Has player lag/freeze been fixed?(stays set up for a one timer that never gets there or the auto-poke that freezes you while trying to skate back)
Broken sticks & lose helmets?

Will NHL 10 have more of a physics feel like the 2k series?
Will the commentary crew be the same and has the on ice observations been improved?
Broken glass on shots and hits?
Will they have nicknames you can use for your created players audio name a la Mlb 09 The Show?

How are goalies better this year?

How are the puck physics improved?

Is there a way to see league leaders in dynasty this year?

Will the CPU passing be less tape to tape?

Will there be more pressure from the defensemen at the blue line?

Will they have online co-op against the ai? preferably in dynasty (invite a friend to your dynasty) but hopefully at all?

Do we have any new or improved camera angles?

Will we have any goal reviews?

Better arena atmosphere,more chants,better and longer team specific goal horns and music,arena announcer improved?

Also can we play other teams in our franchise.

I'm with several of the guys here -- I want to know about the AI goalies and, if possible, the human goalie play/controls as well.

So in question form, what has been done to improve the goaltenders for 2010?

What is being done presentation-wise? Will the playoffs feel like the playoffs? Will the celebrations after OT goals in the playoffs be improved?

How about player celebrations? Any chance Ovechkin's glass-leap makes it into the game? (which really only works if the fans are improved and are banging on the glass and stuff)

1. Player seperation, will scrubs still be able to deke like the're Crosby?

2. Are there puck physic improvements, does the puck feel more live and have the puck rolling off goalies backs etc been eliminated?

3. Atmosphere aside from fans banging on the glass, any new overlays, commentary, playoff comentary?

4. How have the goalies been improved aside from new save animations?

5. Are there new checking animations so as to eliminate every big hit looking like a cross check?

6. Cpu passing, does the cpu utilize the new passing system or are their passes still all tape to tape?

7. Do non controlled AI on a player's team still have a habit of standing around without the use of create a play? As a side note, are non controlled AI players smarter and more aggressive in the defensive end?

8. Any new penalties?

9. Do user controled players still get animation locked when fanning on a one timer? Also do players still have issues picking up the puck after taking a penalty?

10. What additions have been made to franchise/dynasty? ie: trading block, better trade logic, human overide of cpu-cpu trades?

1. can we create our own uniforms and colors for our eashl team. if its not in please suggest trying to get it in before the game is released.

2. is there broken sticks,dropped sticks,dropped helmet, dropped glove(s) in the game?
