Rock Band 3

Does anyone know if we will get a RB3 this fall or is Harmonix using Beatles as their main game this fall and continue to go DLC?

All I have heard is no RB3 this year just DLC, DLC and DLC. That the Beatles is the only game in RB franchise coming out this year. Well there was PSP Rockband that came out (which is really good to my surprise) this year.

I'm very happy they arn't doing a Rock band 3 this year. Hopefully they will follow this model and have a new rock band game every two years, with some real improvements to the game and the instruments, instead of one ever year with very minor improvements like Guitar Hero is doing now.

I only vaguely remember a world where only one guitar hero game released a year.

I don't think there will be a Rock Band 3 until the next generation of consoles are out, personally. At least I hope there won't be. I'm totally content with just getting new DLC every week.

That was just GH 1 to GH 2 actually.

After GH 2 there was GH 2 360 with 5 (or 6) new songs,GH 80's and GH III within the next year.

For that matter RB 2 came out less than a year than RB 1 and while it had all new songs it only had 9 new places to play.

I was hoping they'd stick to their "this won't be a yearly thing" when RB 1 was first announced but after the exportability stuff I was hoping for a RB 3 so I could get rid of most of this crap in RB 2.
