AFC Wild Card: New York Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals must really want to avoid Houston...

Or maybe my Bengals just aren't that great. Either that or they've been running a basic offense for the last month+ so they won't give their possible opponents too much film to study. I vote the former. I still think they can win this game next weekend. We'll see what Mark Sanchez is all about. I really wish the Bengals had Maualuga though...

Again, will any momentum be gained from the week 17 game being played go to the victor?

Can Cincy's offense open up a bit against a loaded Jets D? Chad Johnson will basically be unavailable with Revis on him.

There's a difference between running a vanilla offense in order to safeguard your gameplan and playing absolutely pathetic.

You can't possibly play this bad. They're probably doing this on purpose to give NY a false sense of security.

I honestly have no idea what to believe with this Bengals team. I can see them getting beaten easily this weekend as much as I can see them stringing together a couple of wins in the post-season just because they've found ways to win games. Feels like that '90-91 team that beat the Oilers in the WC game and then lost to the LA Raiders the following week. I don't remember them being all that special that season but they won a lot of games.

I don't really think it's his fault. The o-line, as great as they have been blocking for Benson, spent most of the season giving Palmer poor pass-protection. When he's had time to pass, his TE's and WR's, other than Ochocinco, have dropped passes constantly. They really miss TJ Houshmandzadeh and Chris Henry. TJ was a reliable WR and Slim was a deep threat.
