I got nhl 09 free and haven't played since the sega genesis days(nhl 94 awesome memories)Anyway if I updated rosters is it basically like nhl10 or should I bother and just go get nhl10. I heard 2k10 was so-so.

Well...I can only tell you that NHL 10 pretty much rules. Especially after the new tuner sets.

Easily the most organic hockey game I've ever played and like you...

NHLPA '93...I was 13 and swore that those little 16-bit dudes looked real.

Those were the days.

I bought NHL 09, but, for some reason, didn't really get into it. NHL 10, on the other hand, has barely left my Xbox. I am in the 10th year of my Be a GM career. I have not played a hockey game (or any sports game) this much in years. The additions are great - pushing and shoving after the whistle, abilty to start fights, first person fighting, board play, etc. I also bought NHL 2k10, but the game play seemed sluggish and unresponsive. There are some issues with NHL 10's sim engine and viewing player's stats and team rosters, but overall, NHL 10 is definitely worth getting.

NHL 10 is a very underrated game. It plays as close to the actual sport as any sports videogame. The developers quietly go about their business and make every effort to improve this game. They really do not get enough credit. Just an awesome and addicting game!

I agree with everything besides the underated part...

I pretty sure there is a majority opinion that the game rules.

I agree.

I liked the way the lead up to NHL'10' was handled by Jason, and the other EA Canada developers. They kinda did, just go about their business of informing us about what to expect with the coming game. Without blowing things out of proportion. And imo...pretty much delivered on what they told us. And yes...have supported the game well afterward.

And your so right about NHL being addicting. It rarely leaves my 360.
