Before I spend money on this product is this the correct thing I need in order to play with updated rosters ?

The device you linked to only transfers data from one xbox hard drive to another, you will probably need something more like this . . .

It links from a PC harddrive to an Xbox harddrive. The rosters are downloaded to a PC and then you transfer them to your xbox 360.
I personlally have used the following model

However this looks like a cheap option but I know nothing about it. It looks like it requires a 360 memory card but it might be the easiest of the three. WARNING!!! I seem to remember people having issues with this product because Xbox 360 memory cards could not save original xbox game saves so this product might not work!!!! (Just an FYI)
