I don't know what this is exactly, but I don't think I like it. I will NEVER pay for anything not included with the original purchase.

It is included if you buy new. If you buy used, you just have to hope you get it included, same with rentals. Mass Effect 2 was the first game to do this (also made by EA).

They are doing this since they don't get anything from used game sales so I don't see how anyone can get mad at them for this...

I mean I don't like it but again, I understand why they are doing this.

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see all game companies do this someday.

what if you want to rent the game to see if the online play is stable enough for you personally, before paying $65 for it?
