Wait Wut ? Recruiting Fail...

Im in my 1st year with Syracuse in an offline dynasty.

Being that Syracuse is a relatively weak school im recruiting from 2 - 4 star players. I get this 3 star JUCO Safety and i offer him a scholarship and all 3 promises... The next week he commits hard to a school that wasnt even in his top 10. You might say , maybe it was a big school... nope , it was Hawaii. Was it because its close to home ? he was located in NJ. Anyone notice any other recruitment fails?

Well put. I've never seen this happen but i would love to be the hawaii in this situation, maybe the kid got in a fight with his parents and wants to get as far away as he can... and who wouldn't want to go to hawaii?

It was probably one of the recruits with the purple (pink?) diamond who will show interest toward anyone who puts him on their board. If Hawaii hit him super-hard, I can find it extremely believable.

At least you won't be breaking any of those promises you made him.

This. Coming from Madden, where I could build the Miami Heat equivalent in Cleveland by signing just about any superstar I want and building a powerhouse Browns team, this is refreshing.

I am a big fan of the recruiting this season because it makes you work for some people. Yes, it makes me mad when I recruit a recruit pretty heavily and he goes somewhere else, but it makes signing a valued recruit that much better.

It's very refreshing...and very frustrating too. Trying to build my created team I had the 87 ranked incoming class - and almost all my best players are seniors. *sigh* Gonna be a long rebuilding process
